About SIASTE

State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education (SIASTE) have been established by Government of Haryana as a first of its kind initiative by any of the state government in country with the aim to ring the phenomenal improvement in quality of school education by creating teacher equipped with 21st century skills. Initially, SIASTE was established in Jhajjar in 2013 with affiliation of Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak. In 2021 the Government of Haryana, took a major step towards orienting the teacher education programme in the state in tune to NEP-2020 by establishing SIASTE Gurugram and SIASTE Kurukshetra with affiliation of Gurugram University Gurugram and Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra respectively to run B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) with intake of 100 in each institute. The programme was extended by Haryana Government in 2021 by establishing SIASTE Gurugram and SIASTE Kurukshetra.

The SIASTE Gurugram is presently running in the DIET Gurugram in the campus of SCERT Haryana Gurugram. The campus is located at the centre of cyber city of Gurugram and full of lush greenery calm ecosystem offering it a dual advantage of urban and natural settings. Students from seven states/UTs of country are pursuing for their dual holistic degree of B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) in the institute. Within short span of its establishment SIASTE Gurugram has engraved its stronger footprints in both academic and co-curricular as its students have signed in NSS, Sports and Annual Youth Festival of University. Institute is in process of collaborating with other reputed organisations for imparting training to students in the niche areas of ICT, IT, and other allied areas.

The SIASTE Jhajjar is oldest SIASTE established by state government of Haryana in 2013 in Jhajjar, a historical town and district headquarter. The institute is affiliated with the Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak (NAAC A+ Grade University). The institute is located at the outskirt of district Jhajjar amid the educational institutions of city like Govt. PG Nehru College, Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Govt. Polytechnic and SPB ITI Jhajjar etc. Institute is hosting students from 18 states/UTs of country. Four batches of the institute has already passed graduated their Model B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) and serving in various government and privates reputed organizations or pursuing their higher studies in reputed HEIs. The institution has strong acumen for academics, co-curricular and sports activities and its students have excelled in every field.

The SIASTE Kurukshetra is presently running in the DIET Kurukshetra, located in the vicinity of Sector-8 Kurukshetra and adjourning to Govt. Girls College, Palwal, Kurukshetra and affiliated to Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra (NAAC A+ Grade oldest university of Haryana). The institute ion the Land of the Bhagavad Gita is surrounded by lush green natural ecosystem with reputed education institutions viz. Govt. Girls College, Govt. Nursing College, proposed campus of Shri Krishna Ayurveda University, National Institute of Design and NIELIT Kurukshetra in its vicinity. Students from eight states/UTs of country are pursuing for their dual holistic degree of B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. (Four Year Integrated Programme) in the institute.
