Our Vision
To gradually evolve as a thriving research and development centre for the teacher education and school education in the state and to offer such innovative teacher education programme that create the potential to produce high-quality educational personnel in future for the School System.

Our Mission
In order to translate the vision stated above into a reality, the school envisages accomplishing the mission outlined below:

  1. To function as a laboratory for experimentation and innovations in the field of teacher education and offer a variety of teacher education programs at different levels like B.Ed., M.Ed. with different specializations such as B.Ed. with stage-specific specializations and M.Ed. with specializations like educational management, curriculum and text book designing, special education, comparative education, research activities, etc.
  2. To function as an autonomous institution having collaborations with national and international agencies of repute, endowed with all the necessary human and physical resources.
  3. To meet the ever-increasing demand of quality teachers for the elementary and secondary schools being set up by the Government of Haryana in remote and rural areas.
  4. To offer programs that are innovative and challenging to the student teachers, containing a plethora of self-- directed tasks including case studies, project work, seminars, research initiatives, and also including multiple levels of engagements with student teachers on factual courses and teaching experience in real life contexts.
  5. To implement activities that make the community and the environment healthy, sanitized and nutritious along with that teachers become forces of transformation in their work place.
  6. To bridge the proverbial gap between theory and practice via running a teaching experience school within the SIASTE Campus itself.
  7. To begin with a four-year integrated Bachelor of Education Program covering the academic content of B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. Programs in addition to B.Ed. degree allowing flexibility to exit at the end of third year with a graduation degree and a diploma in education in hand. It aims to bring in student-teachers aptitude for academics and give them a stimulating environment to prepare them as competent teachers with multidisciplinary outlook.

Objectives

  • To improve the quality of education in schools of Haryana through offering quality teacher education and to meet the demands of quality teachers for the elementary and secondary schools being set up by the Government of Haryana in remote and rural areas.
  • To ensure that student- teachers are proficient and competent in the subject, which they will teach as well as qualified in the art of teaching.
  • To equip the teachers in integrated theoretical ideas and practical activities/experiences so that they may think, reflect and create an appropriate learning environment.
  • To enable student-teaachers for understanding the children they teach, their background and their social context so as to provide the student- teachers experiential learning too.
  • To enable the student- teachers to recognize and identity the full potential of every child, including child with special needs.
  • To inculcate among prospective teachers universal values and values enshrined in our constitution such as secularism, social justice and equality.
  • To provide a student-driven program implemented through real-life situations.
  • To promote integration of visual and performing arts with other subjects and their use as a methodology in classroom situation.
